Day 112 04 Oct
Today we travelled to Ronco for the Eco Museum-Bielline prize giving. For the competition the residents had to design a ceramic object, both practical and decorative, which, as a prize, will be prototyped and possibly put into production in collaboration with the Bielline ceramic firm. David Behar-Perahia won first prize, with Sumakshi Singh and Diego del Pozo Barriuso winning second.
The victorious residents.
Sumakshi's 'sprout farm'. The covered ceramic levels absorb water to keep the sprouts dark and moist until germination.
David's 'Fuiot Tagine'. Part 1 of his Biellese/Moroccan culinary fusion.
David's 'Couscous Supera', part 2 of his Biellese/Moroccan culinary fusion.
Diego's fruit juicer, with a design that echoes the nearby alpine mountain range.
The genius toy creator... Possible UNIDEE 2010 candidate??
Step away from the handmade jewellery Sumakshi...
